How We Work
“But everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way.” — 1 Corinthians 14:40
We may speak the language of organizational structure and mission, but if we do not have love in our hearts for those who are intended to benefit from them, our efforts will have no more effect than a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal whose influence fades away with its clamor. — from A More Excellent Way Beyond Good Intentions by Edgar Stoesz
YPM Organizational Structure — YPM has a tri-level structure:
- YPM Board of Directors governs the organization.
- Local affiliates, known as Area Councils, perform the ministry. Area Councils are members of YPM and enter into a Covenant Agreement with YPM. Voting delegates from each Area Council attend the YPM Annual Membership Meeting where they elect board members, review accomplishments, and conduct other business brought before the membership.
- Regional Advisory Councils (RACs) facilitate communications between the YPM Board and the Area Councils as well as promote the ministry within their geographical boundaries. Regional Advisory Council Charter
See YPM Tri-Level Organizational Structure for a more detailed description of the tri-level structure and how each part functions.
