While it may be hard to find prison ministry volunteers, Yokefellows resists the urge to accept anyone who expresses an interest. The cost of placing the wrong volunteer in prison ministry can negatively impact the spiritual well-being and even the eternal destiny of those we serve, as well as negatively impact the ministry itself.
There are multiple opportunities for individuals to volunteer with Yokefellowship both in-prison and on the outside. See Part 2 (page 7) of our Volunteer Handbook for What You Need to Know About Being a YPM Volunteer.
Small Group Facilitator
Volunteers are needed to facilitate small groups within correctional facilities. See small group approach.
All facilitators receive training. See Tips on Leading a Small Group.
